Your domain is yours and you can take it anywhere. There is no fee, no notice period and nothing to argue about — you will find a Move it elsewhere button on every domain under My domains.
Move by changing their IPS tag at Nominet — there is no auth code for .uk, whatever another provider might tell you. Give us the new tag and we set it the same working day.
We unlock the domain straight away. The auth code is emailed to the registrant address on the domain, and we are required to get it to you within five days — we aim for the same day.
Your website, email and phone number carry on exactly as they are until the transfer completes at the other end. Nothing is deleted.
